French Lesson Plan

La Rafle is a faithful retelling of the 1942 "Vel' d'Hiv round up" and the events surrounding it. The story focuses on a boy of 11 Jo (Joseph) from the time that Paris is occupied to the roundup at the Velodrome d’Hiver to the internment camp at Beaune-La-Rolande. We get into the lives of the victims as well as the perpetrators. Every character in this film has existed. Every event, even the most extreme, transpired on that summer of 1942. This is an extremely powerful film that should not be missed. IMDB
