Two young Argentines ride a failing motorcycle through South America and slowly become different people. Salles' film is about the continent — the poverty, the beauty, the inequality — seen through young eyes that are just starting to understand what they're looking at.
Good films have natural moments — a powerful scene, a cultural encounter, a shift in the story — where the language and meaning come together.
